Dr. Lupoi graduated summa cum laude from LaRoche College in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with a B.S. in Chemistry, prior to earning a Ph.D from Iowa State University. There, Dr. Lupoi began evaluating plants with analytical tools such as spectroscopy, research that continued for two postdoctoral appointments for the University of Queensland/Lawrence Berkeley National Lab and the National Renewable Energy Lab.Before coming to RJ Lee Group (RJLG), Dr. Lupoi led research projects focused on modeling chemical properties from large data sets. These models were designed using spectroscopy coupled with analytical methods like chromatography, enabling high-throughput techniques for rapidly screening plant chemistry, including cannabis. At RJLG, among other roles, Dr. Lupoi serves as a technical expert, auditor, and consultant for the WSLCB and laboratories in Nevada.Dr. Lupoi is also the Editor-in-Chief of both Terpenes and Testing Magazine and Extraction Magazine, positions that have allowed him to combine several passions, including helping the masses geek out over cool science. In 2018, Dr. Lupoi led a class for the Osher Lifelong Learning Initiative at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh that taught basic cannabis science to senior citizens.Dr. Lupoi considers true living to include spending time with his wife and cats, brewing and drinking hop-laden or sour beers, jamming to metal/reggae/funk, and reading Hunter S. Thompson, yet again.

Randy Reed has more than 18 years’ experience in business management, botanical extraction, cannabinoid delivery systems, patient education, and product development. In 2011 he Founded Remedios Collective, one of Seattle’s original medical marijuana dispensaries.. He is a best in class manufacture across multiple product categories. Winner for “Best Liquid Edible” in the 2017 & 2018 WA Dope Cup, “Best THC cartridge” in the 2018 WA Sun Cup, “Best THC Oil”, “Best CBD Live Resin”, “Most Potent CBD Live resin” 2018 WA Dope Cup and more. Randy has gained a reputation for creating all native terpene and cannabinoid-rich extracts including the first-ever CO2 live resin and the first 100% cannabis-derived terpene beverages. His thought leadership in respect of preservation of native chemovar and minimizing chemovar drift through novel extraction and formulation methods has challenged industry paradigms.

Darwin Millard specializes in mechanical and solvent-based extraction methodologies for isolating highly volatile terpenophenolic secondary metabolites from botanicals. He has spent the last 12 years focusing on the extraction and manufacture of nutraceutical products comprising of phytocannabinoids and other bioactive constituents from the cannabis plant. Currently a partner at Millard Masonek Solutions, he works with clients to design and implement cost-effective built-for-purpose phytocannabinoid processing solutions for every scale of operations. Darwin has designed some of the largest phytocannabinoid processing facilities in the United States, with processing capacities in excess of 10 metric tonnes per day and production capabilities of nearly 10 metric tonnes of isolated CBD per month, and is currently working on several large scale processing operations around the world.

From the late 70s, travel was my passion, and my love of hashish dictated the places I visited. I was blessed to meet people in producing countries who generously shared their traditions with me and laid the foundation for the teacher I have become. My focus today and for the near future, is on discovering the science behind traditional and modern techniques in an effort to pass on factual knowledge and information to the next generation of Hashishin.I am Aficionado Seed’s official Hashishin. This working relationship mirrors the relationship between a winemaker and a vigneron, the person who grows the grapes for winemaking - their common goal conveying not only the full essence of the plant but of the land it was grown in as well.

Alright everybody. I think we're going to go ahead and get started. So. I had an opportunity to teach senior citizens about cannabis at Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. And I knew they wouldn't want to hear four and a half hours of me rambling on about cannabis science. So I got a lawyer to do it an hour-and-a-half lecture and I got to a medical doctor to do an hour and a half left when I was kind of I felt like I was bombarding they with a lot of jargon and you know one guy even exclaimed your this isn't the reefers that we had back in the 50s or something like that

and I realized that the way that we educate we market products actually deter people from wanting to come into the industry and benefit from cannabis products. When I was using terms, like terp sauce and snapping pool and pie crust these people like that. They just kind of vacated because it was so beyond what they thought that this industry was about or the types of Prada. Where available today? I felt like you know that I was losing my audience and so you don't want of the things that we wanted to do with this panel was kind of talk about this because there's a

a lot of marketing language out there. There was a great paper just released by GB sciences and Digipath Labs out of Nevada where they rent they ran the chemical profiles the cannabinoid profile the terpene profiles of 396 different differently named cultivars in Nevada, and they found that there were three basic chemistry. So to put that into perspective for you three products were being sold four hundred different
