About the talk
With more and more people taking medications to treat chronic pain and inflammatory conditions, it is essential that the cannabinoid pharmacophores be researched as a potential addition to the arsenal of available medications. CBD was shown to have activity against cells of the immune system, including reduced expressions of pro-inflammatory cytokines and the reduction in proliferation of antibody-producing plasma cells. These effects taken together could potentiate an anti-inflammatory process, leading to a blocking off of the pain at its source and not just masking its symptoms. We believe this activity can be exploited in the setting of chronic pain management and potentially other uses as well.

Perfect sorry I couldn't tell in the last item of this is on so I'm right down the guy with the really long last name. So Rick is easier. I am a neurosurgery trained physician. I actually started out with translation on basic science research with cannabinoids back in 2005. So I've actually been involved in this stuff for quite some time. I no longer practice neurosurgery. I've actually decided to focus purely on cannabis medicine in South Florida where a number of hats now, so I have my own
medical practice, but I'm also now CEO of a vertically integrated hemp and CBD company in Georgia. We're also going for our medical grow license part of the Consulting Group and I sit on a number of boards within the Cannabis industry.
