About the talk
Cannabinoid Science and the Cannabinoid Lore
A brief introduction to cannabinoid terminologies and general information will be discussed. Basic pharmacology principles will be reviewed to provide background knowledge for understanding the process of gathering scientific data to support benefit claims of CBD in particular. Due to the past legal status of cannabis and the restriction of legitimate research, there exist vast misconceptions, misinformation, and general lack of data and understanding regarding appropriate use (“cannabis lore”). Consumers must be diligent to understand the product landscape and choose the most appropriate, safe and effective product for their wellness based on scientifically studied technologies. Products that use drug delivery technologies that are known to enhance effectiveness and increase the value of the dose form will ultimately enhance the quality-of-life for the consumer.

Coming here and getting educated so I'm probably going to talk fast and I'm a little nervous. So I might talk even faster. So today I talked about cannabinoid science and cannabinoid lore. I'm a Senior Innovation Scientist at Canopy. We used to be a boo and Evergreen and had a multidisciplinary team of scientists doing this work. Shop with that being said the agenda. I'm first going to talk about just a general education General overview. You can't hear a
how about now better? Okay. So first I'm going to talk about just a brief overview of the science and pharmacology of cannabinoids. What psychopharmacology is and how it affects. People separation science how we get to purify compounds how important the formulation of these compounds, once they're separated, is in producing a medicinal product. I'm not having good luck with this at all. And then kind of the cosmic debris what people are saying about it all the centuries of lore and what we're doing to turn that Lauren to real
